Hello, dear readers! We've come to the end of the term. Today I'll share my thoughts on technology integration in English teaching and our Educational Technology course.

Today, the fact that English is a universal language and technology is in a position to rule the world brings these two together at a common point. When we look at the approaches to teaching English, we can see that the benefit of teaching a language to students is low with a monotonous lecture from only one material. The Grammar Translation Method is one of the biggest examples of this.

Although there are many advantages that we can do in our lessons and that technology provides us, it would be a great loss not to use them, because the students we will teach will be a generation that grew up with technology. My experience in this matter is not very encouraging, but it is not terrible either. In my language learning throughout my primary, secondary, and high school education, my teachers often used technology to teach grammar and do listening activities, and play games with minorities. Technology played a big role in my university education. The environment where we communicate with the teachers, do our homework, and deliver these assignments is the virtual environment. In this way, I understood the importance of technology.

In the educational technologies lesson, we did the tasks given by our instructor for a semester, both as a group and individually. First of all, even though it wasn't the best experience while doing group assignments, it added a lot to us socially after doing it. We have seen that technology also plays a big role in language teaching through our instructor's lessons and the research and assignments we do. The homework I liked the most during the semester was to prepare a digital movie poster because it was an individual assignment and I don't like group work. The least I liked doing was the padlet assignment because we formed groups of 4 and it was very crowded and in groups with a large number of people, doing homework can be more difficult and there are too many ideas.

All in all, it was a fun and educational period.

Thank you for keeping up with me all the term!

That's it for now! I'll see you, I guess...
